Trial in Action: Skill Building through Mock Practice, 2026

The LMA Emerging Professionals Claims Community are delighted to invite members to this event, hosted in partnership with Norton Rose Fulbright.

This session will involve a simulated trial exercise modelled on a realistic dispute scenario for the insurance market. The exercise will provide a snapshot of the dynamics of an actual trial, giving delegates an authentic sense of how trials unfold in practice and the opportunity to assess the scenario in real time.

Whether you are new to managing a claim to trial or looking to sharpen existing skills, delegates will gain experience in how core trial techniques unfold, including:

• witness examination
• oral advocacy
• navigating common challenges in the courtroom
• decision making against the backdrop of a simulated trial scenario.
