This programme has been designed for senior practitioners in the Lloyd’s managing agent and broker community who are open to exploring their leadership potential and gaining insight into how they can inspire others. Typically they:

-are already in a Head of or Director role, or likely to be within the next 12 months
-have been identified as a future potential senior executive
-have experience managing and leading teams
-are looking for the stretch to take them to the next level.

Inspirational Leadership is a five-day programme that has been developed as a result of collaboration between Oxford University’s Saïd Business School and the LMA Academy. The programme has run on a biennial basis since 2008 and over the years it has evolved to reflect the constant change within our market. It aims to offer a rewarding and immersive experience to prepare leaders for the challenges ahead.

The programme has remained true to the original conception of providing a learning opportunity for senior practitioners in the Lloyd’s market. Those who attend will have the opportunity to:

-take time out to reflect on their own leadership challenges and opportunities
-seek a personal leadership development opportunity rather than focusing on acquiring skills or solutions
-broaden their frame of reference from varied sources and look to the future
-step outside their comfort zone into a more experiential learning environment
-build and strengthen their network across the market by sharing an intensive learning experience with others from a similar level
-shed some of the accumulated weight of management and step into their leadership potential
-understand better their own strengths and weaknesses in order that they can provide inspirational leadership to others.
