Webinar: London needs talent!

There are as many people over 50 as there are under 30 in the London Market. This poses a significant threat to the market which faces both a retirement cliff and a talent shortage. In this IIL London Market webinar, Charlotte Edwards and Kimberley Hallam talk about the urgency of this problem and what firms and individuals should be thinking about in terms of talent attraction.

Finding, attracting and retaining the next generation of talent to work in specialty re/insurance is a critical challenge for all firms operating in the London Market. The sector is not well known, and it is not a career destination of choice amongst young people. This is not a new problem, but it is one of increasing urgency if the market is to meet the challenges of the future.

This webinar looks at how it has changed over the last ten years, the problems the market faces, what we can learn from other sectors on making ourselves more accessible and attractive, what tools are available to us and how we can manage new, diverse talent to ensure it stays within the market.
