Webinar: From ships to space travel and oil rigs to the Olympics - the types of risks that are insured at Lloyd's

Understanding the breadth of capability of the Lloyd’s market is useful knowledge to people in the early stages of their career. The soundbite will also be highly relevant to staff who are starting to study for CII Certificate level modules especially LM1 and LM2.

Attending this LMA soundbite will broaden delegate’s understanding and overview of the Lloyd’s market. It will provide an outline of the development of the Lloyd’s market and the development of marine insurance and specifically consider:

• large marine risks today, with reference to significant hull and cargo losses
• an outline of aviation insurance transacted at Lloyd’s – major airlines, general aviation and products liability risks
• an overview of how Lloyd’s insurers operate to provide adequate capacity for multi-million US dollar risks
• contingency lines of business including entertainment and personal accident risks.

Speaker
Linda Prewett is an independent insurance trainer. She worked as a property underwriter for 12 years and now runs her own consultancy business, which provides a range of training courses to the LMA, Corporation of Lloyd’s, Lloyd’s managing agents, insurance companies and London market brokers.
