During this IIL educational visit, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive tour of the Port of Tilbury, led by an experienced staff member who will provide insights into the port’s operations. This will be followed by a Q&A session. Participants will gain a detailed understanding of the significant role the Port of Tilbury plays in the economy.
Forth Ports Group operates eight strategically located ports across the UK, creating an integrated network that facilitates the swift import and export of goods. This network supports major construction projects and serves essential industries, including oil and gas, agriculture, renewable energy, and North Sea decommissioning. The Port of Tilbury, the largest port in the group, boasts over 130 years of expertise as London’s main port and is recognised as the UK’s greenest port.
Attendees are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the Port of Tilbury. The nearest train station is Tilbury Town. Free parking is available outside the port head office.
