This mini-market briefing will commemorate National Essay Day and explore the importance of the written word. This event also includes a prize-winning essay competition.
Thanks to the efforts of One Freelance Ltd, National Essay Day now takes pride of place on the annual Awareness Day calendar for Sunday February 28th. Named after the French philosopher, Michel de Montaigne, famous for his popularizing the essay from his collection of writings named Essais, National Essay Day encourages the favourable perception of writing essays.
In commemoration, the IUA welcomes our guest speaker who has a varied career in journalism, to explain the importance of the written word.
This market briefing will explore the importance of language, tone, grammar and spelling and issues such as tight deadlines, resources and fear of failure that can affect those who rely on the written word for everyday work or continuing professional development.
