The Role of LNG in the Energy Transition

You are invited by the Joint Rig Committee and the Geological Society to attend this event which will look at the some of the challenges the energy industry is facing.

Martin Houston, Vice Chairman, Tellurian Inc, will provide a personal perspective on the dilemma facing the old energy industry as it tries to embrace a sensible approach to the energy transition, whilst at the same time responding to the increasingly vocal concerns of enviro-political activists, who demand a renewables-only energy policy which is unattainable today.

Mr Houston will discuss how natural gas, facilitated by LNG, needs to be the bridge to the future and not the road to nowhere and needs to replace coal, once and for all.

There will be a Q&A session in the form of a panel discussion to allow participation from the audience.

Refreshment will be served from 17.30, prior to the presentation at 18.00. This will then be followed by a drinks reception at 19.00.
