This masterclass, a joint LMA Academy and Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) event, will consider the current Employment Practices Liability (EPL) market, including:

• underwriting issues
• claim trends
• differences between the UK and the US EPL environment
• a spotlight on #metoo and effects on the market.

An expert panel of lawyers and underwriters will discuss issues facing the EPL market on both sides of the Atlantic. Issues will include, developments in legislation, claims arising from the #metoo phenomenon and how the culture of US and UK Companies may be changing as a result, how to underwrite to this exposure and wider issues arising out of the increased focus on gender discrimination, as well as other topical exposures.
