The Role of the Actuary for Non-Actuaries

13 June - 19 June 2017

The Role of the Actuary for Non-Actuaries

This programme is open to anyone working at a Lloyd’s managing/members’ agent in a non-actuarial role.

The course would be of particular benefit to those involved in syndicate portfolio management, underwriting, claims, finance, risk management and back office support functions.

This programme is an interactive and practical course that sets out the role and responsibilities of an actuary. It is designed for non-actuaries/those who interact with actuaries and wish to gain a better understanding of the role of the actuary and the work of the actuarial team.

The aim of the programme is to enable delegates to work more effectively with actuaries and provide them with an understanding of the ways in which syndicates and agency staff can work with them.

It is an interactive and practical course. Each module has a guest speaker who is a senior actuary in the market and will talk about the different aspects of their role and how this links with other departments within their company.

This event requires membership. Please visit the organiser's website for more information.
