This is an IIL accident lecture delivered by Richard Sheffield, Head of Technical Reinsurance, QBE and Kathryn Grant, Trainer, Mental Health First Aid England.

Mental health problems are all too common in the workplace and it is the leading cause of sickness absence. A staggering 70 million work days are lost each year due to mental health problems in the UK, costing employers approximately £2.4billion per year.

Whilst in no way experts in this field, Richard and Natasha talked about their personal motivations and explain why they see the establishment of Mental Health First Aiders as critical to every business.
