This masterclass will give an understanding of a highly specialised area of insurance including what to look for when advising clients on the selection of an insurer for this class of risk.

You will gain an insight into a fascinating and complex set of issues from James Blount, Director, Special Risks, Hiscox. James has worked for the Foreign Office, serving in Peru and Pakistan and he was later head of operations in Karachi for Hong Kong investment bank Jardine Fleming. In 1999 he joined Control Risks Group working on kidnap and extortion cases. He headed the company’s office in Baghdad from 2003 before joining Hiscox Special Risks in February 2017.
