Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome is the ONLY World War 1 airfield still existing and provides a fascinating insight into what it meant to be in the Royal Flying Corps, predecessor to the RAF, during the Great War of 1914 to 1918. Located in the District of Malden near Chelmsford, it is the perfect venue for a Group visit and the Airfield will be welcoming a group from Lloyd’s Motor Club on Friday 11th October for the “Wing Commander’s” Tour.
