The Lime Street & Cornhill Ward Club is one of the 25 wards of The City of London and is a great supporter of the City Civic – the Corporation, the Mayoralty, the Livery Companies and all that goes with it. The Ward Club is also a most enjoyable social club that holds many events – outings, dinners and activities, including the Civic Lunch, that are not normally available to the general public.
The Civic Lunch event has been planned for 23rd November in the Guildhall. However, due to outbreak of Covid-19, the physical event is no longer possible.
The organisers plan to hold the Civic Event on Monday 23rd November via Zoom and hope that you will be able to join and support the Club’s Master, David Pinkerton at this special event. An excellent opportunity to catch up with friends and make new ones.
The event will be run by Club’s Master of Ceremonies, Jamie Wallis. Lunch will be held in the presence of Sheriffs Alderman Michael Mainelli and Sheriff Christopher Hayward. The Guest of Honour being General The Lord Dannatt GCB, CBE, MC, DL, who was Chief of the General Staff (Head of the British Army 2006 – 2009).
This is a members and guests event only. Make sure to book your place as soon as possible, once you receive an invitation letter from the organisers.
