To highlight Lloyd’s innovation activities, Learning Week is delighted to join forces with the Lloyd’s Innovation Team to bring you: Lloyd’s Innovation Centre: Lightning Talks 2018.
Do you have an idea that you would like to be heard?
Are you prepared to pitch it to an audience as part of Learning Week and compete for a £500 prize?
We want individuals or teams to come along and take to the stage, producing an interesting and informative five-minute presentation that will enthral and entertain the audience, and convince our panel of judges that theirs is the best idea.
The topics do need to have some relevance to the world of Lloyd’s or the future of society and the risks it takes, but we are deliberately leaving the scope nice and wide: “A new product that the world needs”, “An app that will change your life”, “What I’ve learned from ….”, “A must have feature in Internet 3.0”. These are just a few ideas but we want you to think expansively – and entertainingly.
If you would like to submit an idea for consideration, please send an outline, of a maximum of 200 words, of your proposed talk to developing@lloyds.com by Monday 4 June. Successful contenders will be invited to attend a training session on the morning of 11 June in preparation for Learning Week and then present their idea to a full audience on 21 June at 15.30. Any questions should be directed to eric.linin@lloyds.com.
Audience members: book your seat, come along and prepare to hear some great ideas – and wish you were up there pitching too!
