The EU General Data Protection Regulation comes into effect on 25 May 2018.
The LMA, with our working group including IUA, LIIBA and BIBA, continue to make progress on GDPR, including production of market guidance and review of market model agreements. The three law firms assisting us will provide the following presentations:

Marcus Evans, Norton Rose Fulbright, will provide an overview on how the Core Uses Information Notice should be used.
Isabel Ost, Clyde & Co, will provide an update on the amendments to the market model agreements in light of GDPR and the Criminal Finances Act 2017.
Jade Kowalski, DAC Beachcroft, will give an update on the Data Protection Bill and our request for a derogation for the insurance industry.
