Delegated authority is a major feature of the Lloyd’s market, accounting for over 30% of Lloyd’s income. This programme is aimed at people with a working knowledge of the key concepts and requirements of delegated authority management who are looking to develop a deeper understanding of the potential risks of using this distribution channel, and how effective controls can mitigate those risks.
Delegates will:
• examine the context in which delegated authorities operate within a wider business environment to assist in stakeholder management
• explore some of the issues that can arise in problem case management and understand the potential impact of ineffective controls
• apply theoretical knowledge to real life situations, through case studies and a simulated exercise
• explore and understand risk management practices within delegated authorities, and demonstrate effective controls through due diligence,
• monitoring and audit
• critically assess the best way forward in challenging business environments with multiple routes to success and failure.
Designed for the LMA Academy, this programme will be run by Alex Jones ACII, Otter Audit and Consultancy Services Ltd.
