This session starts with an examination of the approaches taken by cyber threat actors and considers what these reveal about their psychology, applying this to today’s cyber threat landscape. Catastrophic cyber loss events, including NotPetya, SolarWinds, WannaCry, the Equifax Breach, and Viasat have demonstrated the cost of unpreparedness. The speaker explores these events and examines the lessons the cybersecurity industry can draw from them.

The generative AI genie is out of the bottle, and cyber threat actors continue to find innovative ways to compromise their targets. Participants will walk through case studies drawn from Anton’s practical experience in responding to and investigating the cause of cyber breaches. In closing, Anton provides guidance on how individuals and organisations can implement robust, proactive cybersecurity posture.
