In this IIL claims webinar, speakers focus on the application of war exclusion in relation to claims that arise due to cyber warfare. This webinar includes a discussion of the history of case law that has analysed the war exclusion and similar terms. The speakers discuss the implication of courts’ interpretations of relevant terms, addressing recent lawsuits that have attempted to seek coverage under the war exclusion and the court’s interpretations of that language.

Relevant current events topics will also be addressed, including cyber-attacks in the context of Russia’s war in Ukraine. The presenters also address other exclusions that may be implicated in cyber warfare, such as sanctions or terrorism exclusions.
