AUDIENCE
Anyone with an interest in the ongoing evolution of cyber losses, including risks of loss and emerging coverage issues.
As part of the LMA Academy BI series this masterclass will examine the shift of cyber crime and malware tactics in recent years, from data breach to property damage.
Until recently, cyber crime tactics were primarily focused on extracting personally identifiable information, e.g. credit card data, and locking up home computers until a modest ransom was paid. This has now shifted to a new target: attacking the control systems of manufacturing and infrastructure, resulting in an increase in cyber-driven property damage and business interruption losses.
Attendees will gain an appreciation of the tactics in use, the types of losses which may result, and the coverage and measurement issues that may arise.
