In this Young Members’ Committee webinar, three key members of the CFC Cyber team will explore the background to the hardening Cyber market, highlighting the increase and shift in Cyber claims and ransomware variants and demonstrating business email compromise.
Both the level and severity of Cyber claims are increasing, and this has only become more acute in the pandemic, with more people working from home. CFC’s most commonly-seen incidents are Business Email Compromise (BEC – an exploit in which an attacker obtains access to a business email account) and ransomware (a type of malware program that infects, locks or takes control of a system and demands a ransom to undo it).
This session will explore these trends, discuss the wide variety of ransomware encountered and conclude with a live demonstration of Business Email Compromise, before the audience have the opportunity to ask questions.
