This International Underwriting Association Market Briefing will examine the issue of cyber risks within the maritime sector and how the consequences of not being prepared for a cyber-incident can cause environmental, reputational and business interruption damage. Our speakers will report on recent cases of the recovery outcomes for cargo in transit and the logistical supply chain.

Speakers:

Mauro Arcucci, Global Managing Director of Barbuss Global, is a qualified lawyer and has postgraduate studies in Management from both the University of Bologna (Italy) and the IAE (Argentina). He has also read for an Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School. During the last decade Mauro has given seminars and conferences throughout Latin America and internationally in forums, specialized congresses and in-house. His presentations cover various insurance, reinsurance and claims topics with a focus on Recoveries/Subrogation and Claims Management.

Darren Deitz, Country Manager and Head of Barbuss UK, has almost 20 years of Lloyd’s experience within top ten Syndicates, developing commercial business locally and internationally. He is responsible for the management and development of the London office of Barbuss Global.
