It was the Greeks, as history tells us, who considered the four elements earth, water, air, and fire, to be invariable in nature and that everything was conjured from these assorted origins.
Today we identify risk by strategically sourcing, measuring, evaluating and monitoring to estimate the losses that could be sustained due to a catastrophic event, from the above four elements, as well as identifying and discussing the potential fifth element of Cyber.
Challenges facing catastrophe risk management will be highlighted at The IUA’s popular one-day conference, taking place on 03 October, with Keynote Speaker Mr Stephen Catlin, Executive Deputy Chairman of XL Catlin. In addtion, the agenda will also include Mr Scott Stransky, Assistant Vice President and Principal Scientist of AIR and panel sessions.
