Part one: What’s New in Canada – The Peril of Fire
The speakers will examine if the peril of fire and losses caused by non-insured perils can be excluded from coverage on a property policy by discussing:
• is the peril of fire ‘inviolate’ in Canada?
• if a non-covered peril leads to a fire does the loss have to be paid?
• do you pay for a fire loss if there is a breach of condition or warranty? • what other perils cannot be removed from coverage?
• can you contract out of the provincial Insurance Act?
