Aviation Transportation Standards: Case studies

The aviation industry is highly regulated with safety being at the core of all its operations. The level of regulation and the technology involved in achieving incredible levels of reliability for the travelling public results in high costs for component development, repair or replacement.

The international nature of the industry means that components are shipped in large quantities on a regular basis throughout the world with many variations on the transportation standards employed.

At this market briefing, our speakers from McLarens Aviation – who hold many years of experience having started their professions as aviation engineers before moving into the insurance world – will explain some of the typical events, the resultant repair needs and cost management performed on behalf of cargo insurers.

Due to the popularity of their recent inclusion at ICIC 2019 in June, the International Underwriting Association (IUA) have invited McLarens Aviation to present to members and contacts where they will expand upon their previous presentation to include how engines operate.
