In this Insurance Institute of London (IIL) aviation lecture Jane Middleton will look at the importance of aviation to the UK, not just in terms of the volume of passengers and cargo but also people employed, investment and contribution to the GDP.
Jane’s presentation will cover how Airlines UK work with governments, regulators and legislators to promote the interests of UK airlines, and with organisations across the sector to encourage long-term and sustainable growth in aviation.
Jane will also look at the risks the UK airlines face including how aviation will enable Britain as an island to trade on a global state as we prepare to leave the EU.
In addition to providing an update on the Brexit position of the airline industry, Jane will look to cover other issues such as future risks and an update on the Governments insolvency review.
