The Gulf Insurance Federation (GIF), was established in 1993 in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with a membership of over 45 national insurance companies. Over the years the GIF has played an active role in serving the best interest of the Arab Insurance Industry representative of the federation’s continuous endeavour to address all issues and subjects of significance to the region’s insurance sector.

In line with this objective, we present a subject currently relevant to the position of insurance towards the use of information technology and it’s pivotal role in expanding the horizon for the development of the insurance industry in the Middle East.
