
Mark Masterson, SVP of Research and Development at NTTD UK, will be sharing how experiences at Google, industry and with early stage companies guide his approach to building successful products and businesses. No matter what stage of ‘digital native’ a business is, Mark will discuss options and metrics worth incorporating into business plans now to prepare for the challenges to come in the next 5-10 years.
Mark will be joined by Dame Inga Beale who will be hosting the session and facilitating discussion.
Mark leads R&D at NTT Data, focusing on building revenue from partners and products. Mark has been a CTO, start-up mentor, board advisor, and has held senior global management and strategy roles at Google, Deutsche Bank and Zurich Financial Services. He has also served in advisory roles to both US and UK governments.
Dame Inga Beale took over the helm of Lloyd’s in 2014, after working in senior leadership roles in some of the world’s largest insurance companies.
During her 5 year tenure at Lloyd’s, Dame Inga was responsible for accelerating the modernisation of the insurance market, embedding an innovation culture with the opening of the Lloyd’s Innovation Lab in the heart of the market, and expanding the market’s global access across new, high-growth markets including China, Dubai, and India. As the first female Chief Executive of Lloyd’s, she also played a critical role in advancing diversity and inclusion initiatives across the global insurance sector.
She started her career as a reinsurance underwriter in the 1980’s and qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1987. She is a Chartered Insurer and was awarded her Damehood in 2017 for services to the UK economy.
