Ann Brook
Head of Technical Content and Research·Chartered IIA
Ann Brook BSc. (Hons.) CFCIIA, CIA, QIAL, PGCert (Res), FHEA, CBTS

Ann has been working in the internal audit and related professions for over 25 years and became a Head of Internal Audit in a large Building Society in 2009. Since then, she worked in Risk Management and various governance roles, and held multiple appointments as Board, Council and Audit Committee member across a range of sectors and industries.

Ann moved into Higher Education in 2013 with the aim to giving more back to the internal audit profession. She was course leader for the only Internal Audit focused degree in the UK and helped develop both the level 4 and level 7 Apprenticeships with the trailblazer group of employees. She subsequently implemented and delivered the level 7 apprenticeship which she grew over 5 years by 700% with great success.

Ann has been an active volunteer of the Chartered IIA since 2007 and is now Head of Technical Content and Research. She aims to bring her practical and higher education experiences to drive practical support for the internal audit profession.

Daria Krivonos
CEO·Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies

Daria is CEO at the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies. In her role, she combines her curiosity in global dynamics with trends and scenario analysis, when scanning the horizon for developments, interconnectedness and potential societal and business implication. Daria’s experience includes the Chief Economist office and heading up Enterprise Risk Management in Maersk. She has coauthored reports on topics such as geopolitics, future of global trade, transformation of trust and sustainability. Daria is a member for the FERMA Foresight Committee.

Laurence Eeckman
Vice President Group Risk Management·Atlas Copco AB

Mrs. Eeckman is an experienced Risk Manager with a long history in the risk and insurance industry. The Risk Management department of Atlas Copco Group, headed by Mrs. Eeckman covers many areas, from Enterprise Risk Management, loss prevention, crisis management and business continuity, as well as group insurances. She is also the managing director of the Group’s captive domiciled in Sweden. Furthermore, Mrs. Eeckman is part of the Group Crisis Management Team.

Laurence Eeckman is also a FERMA board member since June 2021 and chairman of FERMA ERM Committee.

Lorraine Stack
Managing Director and Risk Management Leader Europe·Marsh

Lorraine was appointed Risk Management Leader, Europe on February 1, 2024, is based in Dublin and reports to Christos Adamantiadis, CEO, and Carolina Klint, Chief Commercial Officer, Marsh McLennan Europe.

In her new role, Lorraine has overall responsibility for Marsh’s portfolio of its largest European clients and supporting them in managing their risk and insurance programmes. She also works closely with Marsh’s Risk Management leaders to develop a unified client strategy across the region, with a key focus on collaboration and growth to position Marsh as the foremost risk advisor for the future.

Career History:

Prior roles include Consulting Leader with the Marsh Captive Solutions International Practice, and Head of Office, Dublin Captive Management. Lorraine has significant experience in employee benefit captive implementation and is a specialist advisor in the area.

In her 27 years with Marsh, Lorraine has assisted a number of high-profile captive clients through complex transactions including a ground-breaking employee benefit captive programme. Lorraine was also the Global Employee Benefits Leader for Marsh Captive Solutions.

Lorraine has over 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry in the United States and Europe. Lorraine was with Marsh Captive Solutions for over 20 years, prior to which she was a casualty broker in the Marsh Boston office in the United States. Prior to joining Marsh, Lorraine held underwriting positions with AIG in the United States and with Royal Sun Alliance in Ireland.
