Alexandre de Juniac the Director General and CEO of IATA recently described the global distribution of the Covid vaccines as ‘the mission of the century’ and predicted it would be ‘the largest and most complex logistical exercise ever’.

In this presentation Simon Balls, Partner and Rhyley Griffith, Associate of the law firm Kennedys will look at the role the aviation industry will play in distributing the vaccines globally, focussing on such issues as:

• vaccine stability
• storage and packaging of the vaccines
• cyber risks
• innovating borders
• liability and defences under the Montreal Convention
• liability of Trucking and Ground Handling Agents.
