Description
Climate change is emerging as the dominant issue for the international insurance market as the Covid19 pandemic recedes. Across the industry, initiatives are in place to map out appropriate responses.
This virtual event will bring together some of those initiatives, exploring their aims, engagement with the market, policymakers, regulators, experts and campaigners. It will focus on the challenges facing Lloyd’s and the London Market in establishing credible leadership on the issue.
The forthcoming International COP26 Conference in Glasgow is going to put sustainable finance in the spotlight. This will put new pressures on the insurance industry. Underwriters and major institutional investors will need to use their market influence to accelerate the move away from fossil fuels and support the green recovery.
