Master's Series 2024: Managing Climate Risk

Master’s Series 2024: Managing Climate Risk

The Master’s Series programme for 2024 kicks off with a return to the crucial topic of climate change and its implications for insurance.

Entitled Meeting the challenges of tomorrow: Understanding the impact of climate change on natural catastrophe claims today and tomorrow, it will feature a discussion with Swiss Re’s climate lead Thierry Corti (pictured). This will focus on the impact climate change is currently having on increasing natural catastrophe claims, what the future may hold and why we will be grappling with climate change for a long time to come.

Increasing natural catastrophes will change the risk management and financing requirements of our clients. Building our understanding of the issues behind this complex topic and what can be done to mitigate its effects will be key to enabling the industry to successfully navigate the challenges.
