DESCRIPTION

The next Joint Cargo Committee (JCC) Forum will take place via Microsoft Teams.

The Forum will include a brief report on current JCC activity, followed by a presentation by Robert Volante, CEO and Robert Penwill, Manager and Senior Marine Surveyor of CSL Global.

He will cover:

• an introduction to steel product types and the key aspects of transportation such as packing, stowage, handling methods and storage
• a review of key cargo risks such as water damage, condensation rust and physical damage
• how to minimise risk and reduce damage and claims events
• the role of a surveyor through the steel transportation chain
• remedial actions following damage to reduce/ minimise financial.
