Joint Cargo Committee Forum 2024

This is an invitation from the Joint Cargo Committee (JCC) to attend a forum on Thursday 05 December 2024 in the Lloyd’s Old Library.

This presentation will cover the evolution of managing cargo risk in Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on theft and vandalism of high-valued commodities in transit and storage, such as copper, nickel, cobalt, tobacco and white goods.

Agenda

Experienced logistics personnel from the team at C. Steinweg Bridge (a subsidiary of C. Steinweg Handelsveem) will provide expert insight into:

• the complexities to providing effective logistics solutions in the African environment
• the need for cargo owners and their stakeholders to adjust their view to managing supply chain risk in Sub-Saharan Africa, encouraging a more holistic approach
• how outdated risk mitigation practices could innovate and evolve by embracing technology to reduce cargo theft and vandalism.
