In marking International Men’s Day, which originated in Trinidad and Tobago back in 1992 to raise awareness of achievements and contributions to community and family and issues facing men globally, our event welcomes a man whose determination to succeed has resulted in phenomenal achievements.
At today’s market briefing event, we welcome Steve Davis, OBE, one of Britain’s best loved sportsman. Although now retired from professional snooker, Steve is a regular commentator for the BBC and, in addition to this, has a keen interest in poker and chess. He is also successfully recognised as a DJ, in particular, appearing at Glastonbury. He came 8th in “I’m a Celebrity…” 2013, where Kian Egan (Westlife) took the crown.
Davis is a regular on a variety of television shows and is acknowledged as one of the BBC’s leading snooker pundits and commentators, where his love of the sport that made him one of the most recognisable faces in Britain. Steve presents The Interesting Alterative Show on Pheonix FM in Essex and his passion for music has translated to a number of DJ appearances. His autobiography, Interesting, was released in spring 2015.
