The IUA Junior Aviation Practitioners Working Group is pleased to be hosting a series of masterclasses focused on aviation wordings (Part 1) and claims (Part 2). These sessions will be of benefit to all aviators and, in particular, junior practitioners.
The Wordings Masterclass sessions, discussed in detail below, are specifically aimed at junior practitioners, but are open to all representatives from across the aviation underwriting, claims and broking communities. The four sessions each analyse different aspects of aviation wordings, but are interlinked and attendees are encouraged to attend all of the sessions where possible.
Four virtual sessions: 19 April to 5 May 2022 hosted by the International Underwriting Association. These four virtual Aviation Wordings Masterclasses will precede two in-person Aviation Claims Masterclasses that will be held on 13th and 17th May 2022, details of those sessions are accessible here.
3) Tuesday 3 May 2022, 2.30-4pm
Exploration of common aviation extension
Clauses such as AVN67, AVN76 and concepts like non-aviation excess coverage and additional costs of working are all important features that commonly appear in market aviation policies. This session will allow attendees to understand the rationale behind these long standing concepts and will also explore the recently published AVN144 clause.
