The next Joint Cargo Committee (JCC) forum will include a short report on current JCC activity, followed by an IHS Markit briefing on the cargo risks outlook for 2021. This will be followed by a short presentation on Forced Labour.

Columb Strack of IHS Markit and their Country Risk team will highlight:

• United States: political polarisation and violent unrest
• Mexico: increasing focus of organised crime on cargo theft
• Middle East: Iranian escalation in the Gulf and Red Sea
• South China Sea: impact of maritime disputes on commercial activities
• Mozambique: Islamist insurgency in Cabo Delgado province.

The team will be prepared to take questions on the topics covered and other cargo risks.
