Are you a future leader of the insurance industry, looking to forge connections with others and help bring about meaningful change?
The IIL YMC and Climate Pursuits are looking for next year’s cohort for a once-in-a-lifetime experience on the west coast of Scotland.
Industry collaboration and facilitated discussion is key to shaping the climate & sustainability agenda in the insurance industry. We also recognise the importance of supporting changemakers in realising the full potential of their careers and developing lasting relationships as they become future leaders of the industry.
That is why, for the second year running, we are arranging our popular ‘Nature Summit’ on the west coast of Scotland – a chance for rising talent to connect over expert workshops, outdoor learning and activities like sea kayaking and nature walks.
This is not only an investment in your professional development but also a way to positively impact rural economies by engaging local experts and communities at the frontiers of climate action.
Nine hours of CPD, delivered by local experts and hosted by Jack Watt, Founder, Climate Pursuits
Indicative cost for this event is £2,500-£3,000. There is guidance on the application page on how to make the business case to your manager.
This is an exclusive experience for IIL members, hosted by Climate Pursuits in association with the IIL YMC. Applications will be processed by Climate Pursuits and jointly assessed with the IIL YMC.
While all applications are welcome, this experience is primarily designed for insurance professionals under 40 who have gained at least five years’ experience in the insurance industry.
Not all applications will be successful – we expect this experience to be in high demand, and we aim to select a diverse representation of the insurance industry to foster connections and engagement. If you are not successful this time, there are likely to be future opportunities to re-apply.
Each place is funded by the individual’s organisation – you should be comfortable that the indicative cost will be signed off on or already have sought approval, before applying.
You will leave on the morning of Monday 28 April from London Euston, and return on the morning of Friday 2 May morning at 8am via Sleeper Train.
