CPD visit to McLarens Aviation, Heathrow Airport 2026
In this IIL educational CPD visit to McLarens Aviation offices at London Heathrow Airport, attendees will be offered a behind-the-scenes look at how a leading aviation loss adjuster operates.
With a backdrop of one of the world’s busiest international airports, the visit also incorporated a briefing on Heathrow Airport and the insurance aspects of airport operations.
Learning objectives
- An understanding of the history and operations at Heathrow Airport
- An understanding of the role of the aviation loss adjuster, their activities and their interaction with the insurance market
- An understanding of the liability arising from ground operations and the contractual agreements in place to cover the handling of aircraft on the ramp
- An understanding of how engines work
