With a view to assisting the market to better understand relative levels of managing climate related risks, progress and areas of focus for guidance, the LMA engaged with Willis Towers Watson to undertake a questionnaire with a view to understanding how the market is progressing towards key climate related targets.

Description

The questionnaire covered (i) risk management, (ii) scenarios, and (iii) disclosure in the context of climate change-related risk.

The questionnaire was finalised in April 2021, and this session will provide feedback on responses received on how the market is progressing in their approaches to managing the financial risks of climate change, and in particular meeting the requirements around the PRA supervisory Statement 3/19.
