In this IIL London Market seminar, Chris Lay explains the fundamentals of captives, outlines the drivers behind the historic growth in captives globally over the past three years, and identifies current and expected captive trends.
In this session, Chris Lay starts by outlining what captives and why they are formed. He will also explain the drivers behind the historic growth in captives over the last three years, providing key benchmarking information on where new captives are being formed, by whom, and for which coverage lines.
Chris describes the typical life cycle of a captive from feasibility assessment, through formation, illustrating the most common growth journey and identifies what is important when assessing domiciles, and the potential for the UK to develop a domestic captive industry.
Finally, Chris looks to the future of captives, and explains the role of captives in supporting ESG strategy.
CPD events are open to CII and PFS members. For events held in The Old Library, Lloyd’s pass holders may also attend and do not need to register.
