DESCRIPTION:London Phoenix Orchestra\nLondon Phoenix Orchestra’s centenary season begins with a celebration of the old and the new. ‘Century Overture’ by Stuart Hancock (once a stalwart of the viola section) has been specially commissioned for the occasion\, and is followed by the cello concerto by the orchestra’s one-time conductor\, Philip White.
