DESCRIPTION:Dear Singapore Actuarial Society members\, \nThe Life Insurance Committee of the Singapore Actuarial Society is pleased to host its 5th Life Insurance Conference with the theme “Extending our Borders\, Enabling our Industry” on 16-17 August 2018 in Singapore. \nBig data\, Predictive Analytics\, Dynamic Underwriting\, Blockchain\, Data protection\, Biometrics\, Wellness programs\, Insurtech\, IFRS17 are recurring themes among others that we’ve been hearing of late. How do you view them – are they market movers or disrupters? How do you think the role of actuaries can evolve to make a positive impact? What are the current trends that will shape the industry over the next few year? The theme of “Extending our Borders\, Enabling our Industry” was thus chosen with the aim to bring these topics alive over this 2 days. \nThe call for papers is now open and we invite you to participate! This is a fairly broad theme and thus you are only limited by your imagination when it comes to choice of presentation topics. Examples from your own experience or other industries are most welcome. Whilst this is primarily an actuarial conference\, feel free to extend this invitation to other relevant professionals whom you work with to be our speakers too. \nWe welcome any thoughts or suggestions and are looking forward to your participation at the Life Insurance Conference.
