SUMMARY:IF1 - Insurance\, legal and regulatory revision course - Part 1
DESCRIPTION:In these two\, three-hour\, interactive revision webinars\, Alison Cooper FCII guides participants through the required study skills and exam techniques for IF1 (Insurance\, legal and regulatory) and focuses on some of the key areas of the syllabus. \nDescription\nThe two sessions provide an opportunity for participants to expand their insurance knowledge and practice multiple choice questions in preparation for the exam. Learning should be a fun experience\, and participants will take part in various activities\, both during and between sessions\, to maximise learning. \nSession One: Study skills (5 October) \nThe first revision session focuses on the following: \n\nCII study text & CII resources\nStudy skills – how to be more effective with less time\nImportance of syllabus & learning outcomes\nChapters 1- 5 overview: Risk & insurance\, The insurance market\, Contract law & law of agency\, Insurable Interest\, Good Faith & disclosure\n\nSession Two: Exam technique (20 October) \nIF1 – assessment\nIF1 is a compulsory unit that counts towards achieving the Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII). IF1 consists of a two-hour\, multiple-choice exam based on 100 questions. \nThe CII Certificate in Insurance is a core qualification for insurance staff working across all sectors of the insurance profession. It provides a fundamental grounding of the key insurance principles\, and also includes the regulatory environment. \n \nLearning objectives\n\nTo introduce study/exam techniques required for IF1\nTo highlight key areas of the IF1 exam syllabus\nTo build foundation insurance knowledge\nTo appreciate how to approach multiple choice questions\n\nParticipants must be able to attend both sessions.
