We’ll explore the reason for Lunar New Year’s significance as well as the customs and traditions around East Asia in celebrating the auspicious occasion. \nAttendees will learn\, explore and celebrate the traditions of East and South East Asian culture at Lunar New Year this year through the medium of clothing and traditional music. \nThe event will also give you great opportunities to network and enjoy some delicious East Asian food. \nWith clothing being an important form of expression and also a vessel for history\, identity and tradition\, this year’s event focus will be through the lens of fashion and music. Clothing will be sourced from Hanbok Wave and Yicrafts – but you will have to attend to see what’s going to happen! \nWear red!\nRed is a colour synonymised with good luck\, success and good fortune in East Asian culture. So why not pop on something red when you attend as this event\, which is open to all iCAN members and is free of charge.
