DESCRIPTION:Emerging Litigation Forum 2026\nThe LMA invites members to attend the next Emerging Litigation Forum which will examine the developing litigation landscape relating to alleged social media addiction. \nRecent US verdicts against social media platforms have brought increased scrutiny to the potential liability of technology companies and raised important questions for insurers. \nA Los Angeles jury recently awarded damages of approximately $6 million in a case involving Meta and YouTube\, with findings centred on the design of allegedly addictive platforms and their impact on mental health.
