SUMMARY:Contract Wordings Foundation Programme
DESCRIPTION:Audience\nThis programme is aimed at those who underwrite (re)insurance\, handle claims and either draft or work with policy wordings across all lines of business. Ideally\, delegates should have no more than five years’ experience in the Lloyd’s market and no more than two years’ experience in a contract wordings role. \nThere are 24 places available\, with one place per managing agent (unless there are further spaces available once the deadline for applications has passed). You will be informed as to whether your application has been successful once the deadline has passed. \nAbout the programme\nInsurance policy wordings are the products insurers sell. They are also technical legal documents. It is essential for anyone involved in insurance to have a proper grasp of how they work. \nThis programme will provide delegates with a greater understanding of contract wordings\, how to make sure wordings achieve your objectives and the legal and regulatory context in which wordings operate. The content is designed to be relevant across all lines of insurance business. \nOver six half-day modules\, delegates will be taken through the essentials of policy wordings from basic contract law through to practical drafting guidance from some of the leading experts in the London market.
