DESCRIPTION:In this IIL claims lecture David Williams will explain how the UK insurance industry is responding to the challenge of Autonomous Vehicles and the changing risk environment. \nAttendees will gain an understanding of the Government backed consortia and why insurers are involved in these to influence change. \nBy the end of this lecture members would have gained an insight into: \n • Understanding details of the Governments work with regard to making Connected & Autonomous Vehicles (CAV’s) a reality for the UK\n • Possible impacts of CAV’s on the current insurance market\, including changes to Motor and Public/Products Liability Insurance and Legislation\n • Aspects of the changing risk profile and seeing how the UK insurance industry is responding \nSpeaker Bio:\nDavid has over 30 years’ experience in General Insurance roles. He is Chair of the ABI Autonomous Driving Group and is heavily involved in the Governments CAV’s Pilots.
