DESCRIPTION:California Claims Earthquake Certification Training\nDescription\nEvery three years\, insurers conducting business in California are required to complete earthquake damage evaluation training. \nFrom this lecture\, attendees will be able to: \n\ndemonstrate knowledge of earthquake fundamentals\ndescribe how earthquakes impact various building types\nexplain how programmes can assist earthquake victims\nexplore when to hire an expert\nrecognise building codes\nconsider post-earthquake repair options.\n\nThe panel will present the evaluation of earthquake damage to a wide range of structure types\, focusing on mid- and high-rise concrete structures\, properties likely to lead to large\, complex claims for LMA members. \nIn addition to satisfying the earthquake training requirements in California\, this training also satisfies the yearly California Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations training. \nMandatory certification is required by the California Department of Insurance every three years.
