SUMMARY:'All change' - adjusting losses on new generation passenger aircraft
DESCRIPTION:In this IIL aviation lecture John Bayley will discuss the changing environment of aviation claims due to the introduction of new technology and some business aspects that influence the costs being generated in claims and considerations needed in various methods of adjustment. \nAs new technologies are rapidly being used in aircraft and engine design\, the event of a loss brings the cost and availability of those into focus. New repairs and inventory material management techniques play a large role in the consideration of claims handling. The costs associated with new repair methods have brought pressures that require thinking outside of the traditional time and material repair solutions. John will discuss some of the recent trends seen in the way the manufacturers have developed their products and some of the considerations that need specific skills in the course of claims management. \nBy the end of this lecture members will have gained an insight into: \n-The new technology and materials used in modern passenger aircraft\n-An understanding of how engine technology continues to develop\n-The implications of these technological changes to the cost of claims and in addition the change that this new technology signifies for the claims profile that the aviation insurance market will face in the future \nSpeaker Bio: \nJohn is the Regional Director for McLarens Aviation\, Europe and Russia. Qualifying as an Aircraft Engineer he also became a Private Pilot and won an international scholarship to study engines. His knowledge\, skills and diplomacy are used handling aviation claims. \nChair:\nTrehane Oliver\, Business Development Director\, McLarens Aviation. \n \n\n \n Share this event with your colleagues:\n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Facebook\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Twitter\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n LinkedIn\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Email\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n This event requires membership.
