SUMMARY:Arctic Offshore Production Lecture
DESCRIPTION:AUDIENCE\nOffshore Energy Practitioners and anyone with an interest in this area. \nGary Mawditt and Jake Hannath of MatthewsDaniel London\, will be presenting in the Old Library of Lloyd’s at 09.30 on Thursday 22 February and will look at the unique risks of operating in the arctic environment. There will be discussion of different methods of hazard control which will be supplemented by various case studies and loss scenarios. \nSPEAKERS\nGary Mawditt\nGary graduated with a degree in Geology and started his oil industry career as a mudlogger in the North Sea. This role included monitoring drilling parameters for the early detection of downhole problems and kicks. After completing a Master’s degree at Camborne School of Mines\, Gary returned to the oil industry onshore Venezuela and offshore Netherlands\, UK and Norway. In 1999 Gary made the transition to loss adjusting joining MatthewsDaniel in London and now manages a wide range of claims\, specialising in complex and high profile well control and drilling-related issues\, with a focus on losses in the North Sea\, Norway and North and West Africa. \nJake Hannath\nJake graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Geology from Royal Holloway University of London. He gained experience in the oilfield working as a mudlogger with Baker Hughes in the UK sector of the North Sea. During this time he worked on jack-up and semi-submersible drilling rigs for various Operators\, where his responsibilities included well control monitoring duties\, engineering and drilling data analysis\, and geological and hydrocarbon evaluation. He has worked on a number of geologically complex wells in the Southern North Sea\, and has experience with high pressure/high temperature and horizontal well drilling. Jake joined MatthewsDaniel in 2014 and has worked primarily on upstream oil and gas claims around the world. \n \n\n \n Share this event with your colleagues:\n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Facebook\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Twitter\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n LinkedIn\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Email\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n This event requires membership.
